After spending the last few weeks in research mode by scouring through old newspapers, interviewing grease-monkeys, hitting up a few encyclopedias and by dumb luck finding my dad’s old car magazine stash (including a few that are not for the faint of heart) I’m ready to reveal all the cars and brands that start with the letter T.

Talbot
Talbot was founded in 1903 and was based in Whitley, Coventry, United Kingdom. They were focusing on entry level cars. After a series of takeovers Citroen is holding the copyright. It was operational between 1903 and 1994. There were talks about the low-end market with Citroen in 2008 but they never went through with it.
Tata
Tata was founded in a 1945 by J. R. D. Tata and it’s based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Initially they were manufacturing locomotives and in 1954 they started vehicle production with Daimler collaboration. Over the years they have acquired multiple brands like Jaguar, Land Rover, Daewoo, Hispano.
Tatra
Tatra was founded in 1850 by Ignác Šustala and it’s based in Kopřivnice, Moravia, Czech Republic. They started their first vehicle production in 1897 and they are focusing on truck production.
Tauro Sport Auto
Tauro Sport Auto was founded in 2010 and it’s based in Valladolid, Spain. They focus on creating luxury sports cars.
TechArt
TechArt was founded in 1987 by Thomas Behringer and it’s based in Leonberg, Germany. They focus on car tuning.
Tesla
Tesla needs no introduction because everybody is talking about it. It was founded in 2003 and it’s based in Palo Alto, California, U.S. Elon Musk bought it and made it the biggest electric car maker in the world. They focus on luxury electric cars.
Toyota Alphard
Toyota Alphard was founded in 2002 by Toyota. It focuses on creating luxury minivans to compete with Nissan.
Toyota Crown
Toyota Crown was founded by Toyota in 1955. It focuses on creating executive cars as mid and full-size luxury sedans for Japan and other Asian countries.

Tramontana was founded in 2007 in Barcelona, Spain. They focus on creating racing cars by merging jet fighters with Formula 1 racing cars. Only 12 of these are made in a year.
Trion
Trion was founded in 2012 by Richard Patterson and it’s based in Orange County, California, United States. They focus on creating supercars.
Triumph
Triumph was founded in 1885 and was based in Coventry, England, United Kingdom. They were operational between 1885 and 1984. They were focusing on creating cars and motors. After a number of ownership changes now the brand is owned by BMW.
Troller
Troller was founded in 1995 by Charlie Guth De Grange and it’s based in Horizonte, Ceará, Brazil. They are focusing on creating off-road vehicles. In 2007 Ford bought them.
Tucker
Tucker was founded in 1944 by Preston Tucker and it was based in New York, United States. It was operational between 1944 and 1950. It focused on creating cars with futuristic design and safety features. It went defunct when the big three auto brands started lawsuits against it.
TVR
TVR was founded in 1947 and it’s based in Blackpool, England, United Kingdom. They are focusing on creating lightweight high-end sports cars.
