#1. Skar Audio Single 12″ SDR Series – Best Skar Subwoofer
And we have a WINNER!
This Skar Audio subwoofer is the ultimate sub that you can get for your ride. No matter what’s your preference, this sub will deliver excellent bass. I thought Rockford Fosgate’s Punch series was overwhelming. Well, I need to replace it with this Skar Audio.
Oh, the vibrations, let me tell you this you won’t need a massage chair after you have installed this baby. This beast requires a lot of power, 600 Watts RMS. It’s one of the most powerful 12-inch subs I’ve installed so far. You will have to turn this one down at the stoplight, or you can get the unwanted attention of cops.
Besides that, Skar Audio is not well known, and I know many skeptics who turned into for life customers because of their exceptional quality and outstanding support. Their customer care is unheard of in this industry. They go out of their way to help you.
WARNING! When you install this sub in your ride, you will automatically lose your favorite neighbor status. Keep this in mind.
Here’s why this subwoofer got the top spot:
- It beats two 12” other subs: from my testing, I can safely say that this one 12 inch sub can beat two from well-known brands
- Hits low and hard: there’s no other way of saying it just it hits hard, low and deep, and you can feel it in your body
- A Bass Head? This woofer will be the perfect addition to your ride. It does everything right, and it’s loud as hell if you max it out.
I’ve found a few things that I would consider as a drawback:
During the break-in period, there’s a smell that will disappear after a while. This is quite common with many subs.
If you’re playing music with some extremely low frequencies, there’s some squeaking sound and only during those phases.
Since Skar Audio is not that well known, I have only installed it in a few cars so far: Kia Stinger, Optima and a Charger. The owners had a priceless smile when they drove away from their new system.
This subwoofer was also rated as the hardest hitting 12 inch subwoofer.
The last time I’ve checked, there were only a few in stock, so make sure you grab it before they run out.

Oh boy, I’m not used to this type of bass. In essence, it hits hard when it’s needed, and it hits tight when it’s needed.
Best of all, you could get this subwoofer at an insanely low price. I mean, it feels like you’re getting a taste from a drug dealer at this rate without being cheap.
This sub is 12” and takes a monster of 1200 Watts RMS. Make sure you have sufficient power to run this baby. Most people I’ve installed this woofer wanted to turn it down because it was too loud, and initially, they specified that they like it loud. A client of mine said that it hits stupid hard even on half gain.
If you’re brave enough to listen to it at near max, you can rest assured that it’s clean there are no distortions, so no wonder it’s the favorite of many drivers.
Even though it’s at a crazy low price, it looks top-notch. I mean, it looks great out of the box, and it’s durable.
The features make this sub a must-buy:

- Super Easy to Install: there’s no guesswork what so ever anybody can install it with ease because everything you need is included

There are a few drawbacks that you have to know ahead of time:
If your battery is on the weaker side, you will have some dimming lights, so make sure you get a capacitor to avoid this hiccup.
The RCA jacks are cheaply made, so be careful how you plug and unplug things.
Man o man, this sub is in demand. I’ve installed it in: Kia Koup, Honda Civic, F150, Challenger and ’98 S10 single cab, and they were all happy campers.
If you want this amazing sub, then you have to step on it because it’s almost out of stock. Grab it while it’s there are you will have to wait weeks, if not more.

I almost forgot to mention this sub is perfect for those who have a small space or don’t want to waste the trunk for an oversized system. I don’t know what Skar Audio is doing because, so far, they have the punchiest subs on the market. And to add the cherry on top, they are at a super affordable price range.

They have used a cheap remote wire which has disintegrated after a few people spliced it

I’ve tested it against two Rockford Fosgate 12” subs. This bad boy has blown them away. And Rockford Fosgate isn’t some budget brand out of China. There’s no competition the Skar Audio has won, hands down.
If you have a small space available, this sub will fit in nicely. The look is mean and cool at the same time. Once you have broken it in, wow, people will think you’re lying, and they won’t believe that it’s “just” a 10 inch one in the back.
I didn’t dare to put the gain above half point because it’s loud enough without it. It hits hard as hell, and the bass is punchy.
Here are the reasons why this is a must-buy:

If you’re looking for an underpriced and overdelivering subwoofer, you just found the right one. The price for this sub looks too good to be true. And it’s not. It’s well built and packaged, plus it delivers great bass.
For example, this sub came with excellent packaging. There’s no way that they get damaged during shipping.
Brace yourself. This sub needs a lot of power. It’s rated at 1000 Watts RMS, so you need a decent power supply, or you won’t be able to get the max out of it.
This subwoofer pushes a lot of air. If you position it right, you can get a massage chair free of charge. And as a bonus, you can mess your girl’s hair up. Never attempt that after an appointment in the hair salon. I learned that the hard way.
What I’ve noticed with this sub is that it performs the best after 2 weeks of break-in period. It can handle the lows extremely well, and it has the best SPL and SQ.
Here are some insane features of this sub:
- It’s Real Bass: if you want those lows, this won’t disappoint. It can handle anything above 28hz with ease.
- It Beats a Massage Chair: plug it in and turn it up and enjoy the music and the massage at the same time; also, it’s a great way to mess up the girlfriend’s hair.
- No way, it’s just a 10”: some say it’s way too powerful for a 10 while others say that this can destroy even two 15” ones.
A bit of cool water because of the drawbacks:
There’s a long break-in period my best estimate is 2 weeks, and it’s all worth it after that. This sub really comes alive.
This sub is power-hungry with the 1000 Watts RMS we’re going into the not-a-joke area.
There aren’t many takes for the 10-inch sub, and yes, I have multiple happy clients who have installed it in: Silverado, Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, Ram and Infinity FX35.

There’s nothing to say about the build quality besides being a solid premium and wait until you see the price. You will be blown away. It’s like Christmas. It’s almost free. This subwoofer is excellent for a small car and for anyone who needs some extra thump-thump for the commute.

Since this sub requires so much power, it can’t be mixed with others because it will either burn out the weaker ones, or this will be quiet
I have installed this woofer in only two cars so far in a Chevy Cruze and a Jeep Cherokee, and both clients were extremely pleased with their new sound.
